ANZAC Day 2020

We, at Park Orchards Football Netball Club, cannot commemorate ANZAC Day like we have in prior years.

Some of you would have already seen the Club’s earlier FB post regarding putting a ribbon on the boundary fence if you are exercising at Domeney. This is a separate ANZAC POFNC request; so, please keep reading.

When viewing the video/pictures in the links below, keep in mind that the diggers were predominantly really young blokes that fought with their brothers and mates that they’d grown up with; they were often scared…but they were always brave. We also acknowledge the Australian and NZ women who have bravely participated in the wars and peacekeeping missions over the last 100+ years.

1. Click and view both the links below. The first is a number of slides /photos we’ve put together for this unusual 2020 ANZAC Day.
The second link is a short amateur video made by the Miranda RSL which highlights the message above.

2. “Attend” the dawn service at home on ANZAC Day; there are instructions on the slides.

3. Consider making a small donation to the Ringwood RSL. Again, there are instructions on the slides.

4. Let us know you participated. After the dawn service, put a message on our clubs Facebook Page
