Anzac Day at the Sharks is always something special.
It's a day where our community comes together not just for football and netball, but to reflect, remember and honour those who have served.
Before the first bounce, players, officials and supporters gathered for a moving ceremony on the oval.
It was a powerful reminder of the meaning behind the day. Unity, sacrifice and respect. Values that strongly align with our club.
This year, our ANZAC Day jumper carried extra significance. The design featured Leo Hewitt, grandfather of our Life Member and Treasurer, Ged Hewitt, who fought for our country. A proud tribute that connected our club's past and present, and honoured a story close to the Shark's family.
Domeney Reserve was buzzing from the first game to the last.
With a full day of football, the sidelines were packed, the atmosphere was electric and the Sharks community showed up in full force.
On The Field
Across the day, our teams put in strong performances. They played with intensity, pride and plenty of Sharks spirit.
From hard-fought contests to standout individual efforts, it was a day that showcased exactly what our club is all about.
A special mention to our ANZAC Medal recipients, Teagan Murtic, Tom Rees and Kane Keppel, who each delivered standout performances on a day that means so much to our club and community.
