OUR POLICIES
Alcohol Management Policy
This policy aims to provide a basis for the responsible management of alcohol by the Park Orchards Football Club.
The Club recognises the importance in holding a liquor license in the value it adds to the Club, enabling it to generate income and hold social functions, but in doing so the Club also accepts the responsibilities and expectations of the community in strictly adhering to the liquor licensing laws.
SERVING ALCOHOL
• Alcohol will be served according to the requirements of the Club's liquor licence and in accordance with the safety and wellbeing of patrons.
• The Club will maintain a current liquor licence.
• The liquor licence will be displayed at the bar.
• Persons under the age of 18 years are not permitted to serve alcohol.
• A Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA) trained official or staff member will be present at all times when alcohol is being served.
• The Club will discourage excessive or rapid consumption of alcohol.
• The Club will display posters on liquor license regulations and education.
• The Club does not allow alcohol to be brought to any match or event by its players, officials and spectators.
PROMOTING THE RESPONSIBLE USE OF ALCOHOL
• The Club will actively demonstrate its attitude relating to the responsible use of alcohol.
• The Club will educate Club members and supporters about the alcohol policy.
• The Club will pursue non-alcohol sponsorship and revenue sources.
• The Club will not promote alcohol through 'cheap drink' strategies, such as happy hours.
INTOXICATED PATRONS
• Alcohol will not be served to any person who is intoxicated.
• Servers will follow procedures, provided in their training, for dealing with and refusing alcohol to intoxicated patrons.
• Intoxicated patrons will be asked to leave the Club.
• Intoxicated persons will be refused entry into the Club.
UNDERAGE DRINKING
Alcohol will not be served to persons under the age of 18 years.
Servers will request proof of age, where appropriate.
Only photographic ID will be accepted.
SAFE TRANSPORT
• Bar staff shall encourage members and visitors to make alternate safe transport arrangements if they are considered to exceed .05 blood alcohol concentration (or 0.00 if on a probationary licence).

The Park Orchards Football & Netball Club is committed to maintaining the highest standards of conduct and sportsmanship across all teams and activities.
PLAYER CONDUCT
• All players are expected to behave in a manner that reflects positively on the Club.
• Abuse, intimidation, or threatening behaviour towards players, officials, or spectators will not be tolerated.
• Players are responsible for conducting themselves with respect and integrity both on and off the field.
DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS
• Any breach of this policy will be investigated by the Club's Disciplinary Committee.
• Players found in breach may be subject to warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans from Club activities.
• The Club will follow all relevant league and governing body rules when processing disciplinary matters.
SOCIAL MEDIA
• Players, coaches, and officials must not post content on social media that brings the Club into disrepute.
• Any social media conduct deemed inappropriate may be subject to disciplinary action.

• The Club will not tolerate any form of racial or religious discrimination, harassment, or vilification.
• All members, players, officials, and supporters are expected to treat each other with dignity and respect.
• The Club actively promotes inclusivity and cultural diversity within our community.
REPORTING
• Any incidents of racial or religious intolerance should be reported to the Club President or a Committee Member immediately.
• All complaints will be dealt with promptly and confidentially.
• The Club may refer serious incidents to relevant league authorities or law enforcement.

Smokefree Policy
The Park Orchards Football & Netball Club is committed to providing a smoke-free environment for all players, officials, volunteers, and spectators.
SMOKEFREE AREAS
• Smoking (including e-cigarettes/vaping) is strictly prohibited in all Club-designated zones, including but not limited to: the oval, club rooms, spectator areas, and car parks.
• Smoking is only permitted in designated areas away from all entrances, spectator viewing areas, and playing surfaces.

• All members, visitors, and officials are expected to comply with this policy.
• Club representatives will respectfully request any person smoking in a restricted area to move to a designated zone or refrain from smoking.
• Persistent non-compliance will be addressed by Club officials and may result in removal from the venue.

• Information regarding smoking cessation resources may be made available at the Club.

Issue Resolution
The following procedures are in place to ensure all issues are addressed promptly and resolved to the satisfaction of members and the Committee.
1. Raising an Issue
Any person wishing to raise an issue should do so through the appropriate channel:
Team-related: Team Manager or Coach → Football Operations Manager
Football-related: Football Operations Manager → President
General issues: Committee Member → President or Secretary
2. Suggested Solutions
Where practical, the person raising the issue is encouraged to suggest possible solutions.
3. Initial Resolution
Relevant parties should meet as soon as possible after the issue is raised to work towards a resolution.
4. Escalation
If the issue cannot be resolved at the initial level, it should be escalated through the appropriate channels without delay.
5. Considerations
When resolving an issue, the following should be taken into account:
The scope and potential impact on the Club
The number of players or teams affected
Whether temporary measures are appropriate
The expected timeframe for resolution
The resources required
6. External Involvement
Committee approval must be obtained before involving any external parties.
7. Public Statements
Only the Club President is authorised to make public statements on behalf of the Club.
8. Health and Safety
All individuals must take reasonable steps to prevent situations that may cause injury or harm. Any hazards identified must be reported to the Committee as soon as possible.
